Telling stories is an important way that we build connections with others. Digital storytelling is a modern approach to traditional storytelling with many applications which makes it an ideal approach for advocacy, research and knowledge mobilization. In this training, you will learn an approach to digital storytelling projects that covers project planning and recruitment, workshop facilitation, and technical production including writing, recording and sharing digital storytelling videos.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Empower storytellers to share personal stories safely and confidently
  • Use tools and equipment to plan, record, edit and share digital stories
  • Apply digital storytelling methods for research, advocacy and education.

The training includes instructions, practical advice, and hands-on activities to guide you through the process.
