Housing First is about much more than housing. It means ensuring young people are provided with adequate and appropriate supports are in place to facilitate this transition, regardless of the kind of housing a young person is in. These supports must be driven by the needs of the client, rather than the structure of the program, and should be designed and delivered from a ‘positive youth development’ perspective.
