Visibility of Personal Information in HIFIS

The Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS) is a software that captures and shares comprehensive data about homelessness in real time. There are 2 primary types of information in HIFIS:

  • Client Information, which refers to information about people experiencing (or at-risk of) homelessness. This includes demographic information and other information about their life and experiences.
  • Client Management, which refers to service records that contain information about the services being received by clients.

Access to both types of information is controlled through the configuration of User Rights, Consent, Attestation, and Service Provider settings.
