The young people we work with are telling us that as a sector and as a community we need to improve the experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness and these observations are backed up by research.

As a community, we know that homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia are prevalent in our systems: families, education, health care, faith, employment, justice, to mention only a handful. This training will prepare participants in the housing and homeless sectors to work with 2SLGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness. 2SLGBTQIA+ stands for Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual, and many more.
