This webinar focuses on understanding the legal and justice issues experienced by people who are homeless. During the presentation, we hear from Joanna Nefs on the criminalization of homelessness, specifically the Ontario’s Safe Streets Act and the work of the Coalition to Repeal the Safe Streets Act, Naomi Nichols shares young people’s stories as a way to explore and highlight connections between their experiences of housing insecurity and their interactions with the justice system, and Ryan Lafleur with Michelle Keast speak on the Navigating the Road to Reintegration multi-sectoral collaboration and knowledge mobilization project looking at developing streamlined programs and services to aid successful reintegration in Ontario.
