Housing First for Youth Service Delivery Model

This is Part 3 in 3-part series of Housing First for Youth (HF4Y) online training for youth-serving organizations and housing providers.

Housing First for Youth (HF4Y) training using the HF4Y Framework promotes housing stabilization, well-being and social inclusion for youth experiencing homelessness. HF4Y is based on the successful Housing First model and adapted for young people aged 13-24 to support them to exit homelessness and transition to adulthood.

In this training, participants will learn about HF4Y service delivery, staffing roles and responsibilities and case management approach. Through a variety of learning content including videos, case examples and online activities, participants will learn about intake, goal planning, service coordination and referrals, graduation and aftercare supports. The training includes case examples of HF4Y programs as well as cultural and contextual adaptations for specific populations.

This training is part of a series on Housing First for Youth (HF4Y) for service providers. In Part 1, participants gained understanding and awareness of youth homelessness, learned about the program model and philosophy and explored the guiding principles. In Part 2, you explored the range of housing options and supports necessary to help youth exit homelessness and maintain stable housing.
